1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply when you use authenticolivco.co.uk or buy products from Authentic Oliv Co. Please read them before placing an order. By placing an order, you confirm that you accept these terms.
2. Products
We sell selected Sardinian extra virgin olive oils, flavoured oils and related food products. Product descriptions, images and tasting notes are provided in good faith. Because olive oil is an agricultural product, colour, aroma and flavour can naturally vary between harvests and batches.
Product images are illustrative. Packaging, labels and bottle presentation may change without affecting the product's essential characteristics.
3. Food information and allergens
Ingredients, allergen information and other required food information are shown on the product page, label or packaging where applicable. Customers must check this information before consumption, particularly where allergies or intolerances are concerned. Contact us before ordering if further information is required.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown before payment. Payment is processed securely by Stripe and may include card, Apple Pay, Klarna or other methods made available by Stripe.
An order is not accepted until payment has been authorised and we send an order confirmation or otherwise confirm acceptance.
5. Availability and order limits
All products are subject to availability. Limited and seasonal oils may sell out. We may cancel or adjust an order if stock information was incorrect, a product is unavailable, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If we cannot supply an item, we will refund the amount paid for it.
6. Delivery
Delivery options, charges and estimated times are displayed during checkout. Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control, but we will help resolve delivery problems.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional costs caused by an incorrect address or failed delivery may be charged where reasonable.
7. Collection and local delivery
Where collection is selected, customers must wait for confirmation that the order is ready before travelling. Local delivery is available only within the stated delivery area and may require address verification. If the address falls outside the area, we may ask the customer to pay the standard UK delivery charge or cancel the order.
8. Cancelling an online order
Consumers normally have the right to cancel an online order within 14 days after receiving it, without giving a reason. To cancel, email [email protected] with the order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel. After notifying us, return the goods within 14 days.
The customer normally pays return postage unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described. Products must be returned safely and, where possible, in their original packaging.
9. Sealed food products
For food safety and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept a change-of-mind return of bottles that have been opened, unsealed or tampered with where the legal sealed-goods exception applies. This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe or not as described.
10. Faulty, damaged or incorrect orders
Please contact us as soon as possible if an order arrives damaged, leaking, incorrect or not as described. Photographs of the packaging and products may help us resolve the issue quickly. Depending on the circumstances, we will offer a replacement, price reduction or refund in accordance with UK consumer law.
11. Refunds
Approved refunds are made to the original payment method. We will process refunds without undue delay and within the periods required by law. Banks and payment providers may take additional time to display the funds.
12. Promotions and discount codes
Promotions may have separate conditions and expiry dates. Unless stated otherwise, offers cannot be combined, exchanged for cash or applied retrospectively.
13. Business and trade orders
Trade and hospitality orders may be subject to separate quotations, delivery arrangements, payment terms and minimum quantities. Consumer cancellation rights do not automatically apply to business purchases.
14. Website content and intellectual property
Website text, branding, design, photographs and educational content belong to Authentic Oliv Co or are used with permission. They may not be copied or used commercially without written permission.
15. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of statutory consumer rights. We are not liable for indirect business losses where you purchase as a consumer.
Health and nutrition content is general food education and is not medical advice. Customers should seek professional advice for medical conditions, allergies or dietary treatment.
16. Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Stripe and other service providers may process information required to complete payment, delivery and fraud prevention.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when an order is placed applies to that order.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory rights available in the part of the United Kingdom where they live.
